Hello, my name is Jake Grolig
I am an Applied AI and Data Science specialist based in Fairfax, Virginia, focused on developing practical, data-driven solutions using Python. My areas of expertise include machine learning, exploratory data analysis, and feature engineering, with an emphasis on transforming complex datasets into actionable insights and predictive models. I am committed to continuous learning and actively seeking opportunities to contribute to collaborative teams working on impactful, real-world AI applications.
In 2026, I earned a certification in Applied AI and Data Science from Johns Hopkins University, further strengthening my technical foundation in modern data science methodologies and machine learning practices.
Prior to transitioning into AI, I built my career as a 3D Artist and Game Developer, with expertise in animation, modeling, and technical design. This background provides me with a unique perspective—combining creative problem-solving with analytical thinking—when approaching data-driven challenges.
I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), where I majored in Interactive Design and Game Development, and minored in Applied AI, graduating in 2022.
